How to report serious wrongdoing safely, and the protection you have when you do.
- Chief Executive Officer
- Annually
Our commitment
We would rather hear an uncomfortable truth early than a serious problem late. Anyone who raises a genuine concern is protected, whether or not the concern turns out to be well founded.
What to report
- Criminal activity, fraud or financial misconduct
- Bribery, corruption or sanctions breaches
- Safeguarding or child protection failures
- Danger to health and safety
- Damage to the environment
- Breach of legal obligations, including data protection
- Deliberate concealment of any of the above
How to report
Speak to your manager, or email contact@equityhouse.io marked for the attention of the CEO. If the concern involves the CEO, address it to the board. Reports may be made anonymously, though a named report is usually easier to investigate.
You may also report to a prescribed person under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998.
What happens next
We acknowledge within five working days, appoint someone independent of the concern to look into it, and tell you the outcome as far as confidentiality allows. Retaliation against anyone who speaks up is itself a disciplinary offence.
Governance and review
This policy is owned by the Chief Executive Officer and approved by the board. It is reviewed at least annually, and sooner if the law, our operations or our risk profile changes.
