How we publish, how we represent the people in our content, and how we handle consent.
- Chief Executive Officer
- Annually
Our commitment
We reach a large audience with stories about people's working lives. Those people are not content. We publish accurately, with consent, and in a way we would be comfortable defending to the person featured.
Consent and dignity
- Written consent before featuring an identifiable person, with parental consent for under-18s
- Consent can be withdrawn, and we remove content on request wherever we control it
- No editing that changes the meaning of what someone said
- Care with financial hardship, health and family circumstances
Accuracy and advertising
Claims and statistics are sourced and checked before publication. Paid partnerships and gifted content are clearly disclosed in line with ASA and CAP guidance. We correct errors openly rather than quietly deleting.
Personal accounts
You are free to speak publicly. If you identify yourself as working here, make clear that views are your own, do not disclose confidential information, and do not disparage colleagues, partners or participants.
Governance and review
This policy is owned by the Chief Executive Officer and approved by the board. It is reviewed at least annually, and sooner if the law, our operations or our risk profile changes.
