Our commitment

We keep accurate books, apply proper controls over money, and take a low-risk, transparent approach to tax. We do not use artificial structures to reduce tax.

Controls

  • Segregation of duties between raising, approving and paying
  • Dual authorisation above defined thresholds
  • Expenses supported by receipts and a business purpose
  • Annual accounts prepared and filed in line with the Companies Act 2006

Financial crime

We take reasonable procedures to prevent the facilitation of tax evasion under the Criminal Finances Act 2017, apply anti-money-laundering checks to unusual receipts, and screen counterparties against applicable sanctions lists.

Raising a concern

If you have a concern about a financial irregularity, raise it with your manager or email contact@equityhouse.io. Concerns can be raised confidentially and you will never be penalised for speaking up in good faith. See our whistleblowing policy for the full route.

Governance and review

This policy is owned by the Chief Executive Officer and approved by the board. It is reviewed at least annually, and sooner if the law, our operations or our risk profile changes.
