Our commitment

We expect our suppliers to hold themselves to the standards we hold ourselves to. This code sets out the minimum. Meeting it is a condition of doing business with Equity House.

Labour and human rights

• No forced, bonded, trafficked or child labour, at any tier
• Freely chosen employment with clear written terms
• Pay at or above the legal minimum, on time, with lawful deductions only
• Working hours within legal limits, with rest days
• Freedom of association and no retaliation for raising concerns

Ethics

• No bribery, facilitation payments, kickbacks or improper hospitality
• Compliance with sanctions, anti-money-laundering and competition law
• Declared conflicts of interest
• Accurate invoicing and records

Health, safety and environment

Suppliers must provide a safe place of work, assess risks, and reduce environmental impact where they reasonably can, including waste, energy and travel.

Data and confidentiality

Suppliers handling personal data on our behalf must do so only on our written instructions, apply appropriate security, and notify us of any personal data breach without undue delay.

Compliance and consequences

We may ask for evidence of compliance, and we may audit where risk warrants it. Suppliers must cascade equivalent standards to their own sub-contractors. Serious or unremedied breaches may lead to termination.

Governance and review

This policy is owned by the Chief Operating Officer and approved by the board. It is reviewed at least annually, and sooner if the law, our operations or our risk profile changes.
